The Way of St. James by bicycle
The majority of pilgrims in the past made the journey to Santiago on foot because they had no choice. Had they been able to afford horse, no doubt they would have leapt at the offer. Today the bicycle has replaced the horse, and comes several advantages:

 - gives you more time to enjoy the surroundings
 - easy to make excursions away from the route
 - useful for shopping and getting about the bigger towns
